Dramatic Monologue
• Meaning and Definetion :
A poem written in the form of a speach of one character is a called dramatic monologue this poem consists the fillings experiences and views of only one character. It is called persons poem.
• Features and Characteristics :
- A character in drama monologue speaks without any interrution.
- The audience may be either present or absent.
- The speaker reveals something about his or situation through the monologue.
- Revealing important information about the personality, situation, action or emotional stats.
• Type of Dramatic Monologue :
Romantic Monologue :
A poem where character speaks about a romantic relationship either past, current or desired.

Conversational Monologue :
A poem is presented by the speaker as if it part of conversation.
Ex. The Eolian Harp by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Philosophical Monologue :
A poems where the character explicates there personal philosophy or theories about the world.
Ex. Line a Written a Few Miles above Tintern Alley by William Wordsworth.
